Tapes records voice notes and writes them down. Raise your wrist and talk, or open it on your phone — either way the transcription runs on your own phone, not a server, and both ends end up with the same notes. Notes group into pages, and pages connect to each other as you use it.
Your watch is a real capture device
Record from your wrist with your phone in another room. The audio is held on the watch and hands over when the phone is back in range — then the transcript comes back to your wrist.
On-device, start to finish
Recording and transcription both run locally. Nothing is sent anywhere to make Tapes work, and it works with no signal at all.
Your data is yours
No account, no sign-in. Everything lives on your device and exports to plain Markdown whenever you want it elsewhere.
Audio is the source
The recording is never thrown away. Transcripts are a derived layer — editable, re-generatable, never the only copy.
